The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Providia, Nigeria. By creating an account or using Providia you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.

Providia is for students of every age. If you’re under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian’s knowledge.

Your account

Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account. One account per person.

What Providia does and doesn’t do

Providia helps you find scholarships and other opportunities, check them for scam signs, organise your documents and prepare applications with guided and AI-assisted tools.

We don’t submit applications for you and we aren’t the provider of any scholarship unless we clearly say so. Providers make every decision. We can’t guarantee any award, admission or result, and listings can change or close without notice, so always check the official page before you apply.

Your content

You own the drafts, answers and documents you put in Providia. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run the service for you.

AI drafts are suggestions for you to review and edit. You’re responsible for what you submit. Recommendation letters must be reviewed and approved by your referee; never sign on their behalf.

Plans and payments

Providia is free to use. Providia Plus costs ₦5,500 a month in Nigeria, billed in naira through Paystack. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices include VAT where it applies.

You can cancel at any time in Me › Plan. You keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Referral programme

Every account gets a personal invite link. When enough people create a Providia account with your link and confirm their email, you get Providia Plus free for 12 months, automatically. Your progress tracker in the app shows how close you are.

Only genuine new users count: one account per person, with a confirmed email, who hasn’t had a Providia account before. Invites to yourself, fake or duplicate accounts, paid sign-ups, spam or misleading promotion don’t count and can lead to the reward being withdrawn and the account suspended.

We may change or end the referral programme, or the number of sign-ups needed, with notice in the app. Rewards you’ve already earned stay yours. Rewards have no cash value and can’t be transferred.

Rules

Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk or is used for fraud. Where we can, we’ll tell you why and let you respond first.

Liability

We work hard to keep listings accurate and the service available, but Providia is provided as it is, and details from third parties can be wrong or change.

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses, for decisions made by scholarship providers, or for losses from relying on a listing without checking the official page. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer-protection law that can’t be excluded.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we’ll tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Every version is kept in the version history below.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If there’s a problem, contact us first (use Help & support in the app (Me › Help & support)) and we’ll try to resolve it. If we can’t, the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction, without removing any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
